NFX Clinkers
Clinker bricks are deliberately overbaked to give them interesting darker colours and unusual shapes. They are very water resistant, and often used for foundations or ornamental walls like chimneys.
NFP Plaster Bricks
Non-Facing Plastered bricks are ideal for general building projects which are to be plastered.

What’s the difference between FX, NFX, and NFP bricks?
FX (Facing Extra) bricks are good general-purpose face bricks, suitable for most uses, as long as below-freezing conditions are not expected. This makes them an affordable solution for most building projects in South Africa. FX bricks are suitable for internal and external use, as semi-face bricks, and for foundations.
NFX (Non-Facing Extra) bricks are especially durable bricks which are often used below ground level, and in particularly damp conditions. Above ground, they are normally plastered over, although this is optional, and they can be used for most projects.
NFP (Non-Facing Plastered) bricks are designed for general use where the finished building is intended to be plastered.

Versatile
Thanks to their compressive strength, clay bricks are an excellent building material whether you’re constructing a single or multiple storey building. They can also be arranged in many different orientations to suit your needs and the desired look and feel of your building.

Bricks (especially face bricks which don’t require painting or plastering) offer great value for money. They require little to no maintenance, are affordable to purchase, available locally, and last for decades.
Thermal & Noise Insulation
One of the reasons bricks are such a popular building material in South Africa is because they insulate buildings so well – keeping your home or office cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
They are also naturally sound dampening, especially when used in a double layer. If your property is located near a busy road with lots of noisy traffic, purchasing bricks for your project is an excellent idea.
Weather, Fire, & Water-resistant
Bricks can’t burn, which makes them a much safer option for factories or warehouses (and kitchens!) where the possibility of a fire exists. And thanks to our modern kiln facilities, Nanxing’s bricks are outstandingly weather and water resistant. Our NFX bricks in particular can be used in very damp conditions, such as the construction of your building’s foundations.
They can withstand decades of harsh weather, being battered by rain in one season and baked in the sun the next!
